Marsala Movement

The Pantone color of the year is marsala. Described as “a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth.”

This color is a great way to add a bit of depth to any spring wardrobe. While Jason Wu opted for a classic wrap dress, Christian Dior gave us thigh high patent leather boot. Schiaparelli mixed marsala with touches of green; Antonio Marras went with a colorblocking of orange and blue.

The men were definitely not left out of this trend while gracing the runways of Burberry Prorsum and Robert Geller. Valentino and Dries van Noten mixed trends by sending a great marsala print on print suit option down the runway.
