Nicola Formichetti has done it again. His rebranding for legendary House of Mugler hasn’t gone unnoticed and he knows his client.
His ability to take this once über provocative (still is), bold fashion house and modernize it to wearable clothing for men speaks volumes. This can become challenging for designers working under another designers likeness however he’s figured out how to pull it off.
What’s so impressive about the Spring / Summer 2013 collection are the cut-outs. This type of design isn’t common for menswear. The asymmetric cuts created leading lines to draw your eyes to the entire look instead of just one place. We’re glad color blocking still reigns for the spring season next year.
Nicola Formichetti is a creative and marketing genius!
