And as the influence continues to grow, designers like Chung Chung Lee & Younhee Park both maintain yet another season of exceptional designs on February 9th at Concept Korea.

First came K-Pop, then along came K-Beauty– and now K-Fashion is the next move for South Korea’s capital. According to the top industry insiders, the fashion in Seoul is moving fast and becoming incredibly trend-driven.

LIE

Built on a palette of icy blues, creams, and pops of multi-colors, the message between nature and man was prominent in Chung Chung Lee‘s LIE 2018 Fall Collection. The inspiration derived from the image of a wary polar bear stranded on a shrinking iceberg. Lee wanted to bring awareness that it wasn’t justice that is the cause of global warming, hence the show’s title “GLOBAL WARMING; It’s not justICE.”

Greedilous

Greedilous, presented by designer Youn Hee Park which drew inspiration from Marie Antionette’s and enchanting style and extreme glamour of Versailles. Although the designer set the masculine undertone of incorporating a romantic style in each look, the collection brought some current streetwear elements along the ride. Park created moments on the runway of femininity & vintage geometric patterns playing a part in the reinterpretation of the brand’s unique identity.

Both LIE and GREEDILOUS presented 25 looks with hair and makeup provided by Aveda. Joining the festivities were celebrities Ty Hunter, Shaun Ross, June Ambrose, Claire Sulmers, Simon Collins, Miss Jay Alexander and more.
