What music are you listening to at the moment? Not necessarily at the moment but more so in general, my ear is tuned into several artists. I can go from Anita Baker to Jeezy or Yo Gotti in the blink of an eye lmao. Overall though, my music preference would always be 90’s Hip-Hop and R&B.

Favorite movie, tv show: Movie – The Lion King. Call me childish; I don’t care, I don’t care lol. No, but, I love a movie that you can get a quote from though. My friends & family and I are known for throwing out random movie quotes we see befitting to whatever conversation we’re having at that moment. Honestly, the right quote at the right moment will have us on the floor no matter how serious the situation is because you always have to find the positive in any situation. Some of our most quotable movies are Precious, Dreamgirls, umm Friday. It’s a bunch of them lol.

TV Show – Martin, The Parkers, and I LOVED the Netflix Series “Seven Seconds.” I hate that it isn’t being renewed for a second season because the overall storyline was extremely relevant to the world we live in today here in America. From touching on white privilege, the misuse of authority by police, the struggles of African-American families as well as the stigma of homosexuality in the African-American household and community. The actors in the show made it all too believable, so I not only commend them but the writers and producers as well.

Favorite designer, fragrance or grooming/beauty product: I honestly don’t have a favorite designer so to speak because I’m a big fan of highs and lows. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with Margiela and Balmain (who I do happen to really like) but H&M will get the job done just as well because as at the end of the day price isn’t equivalent to style. Fenty brand products are my favorite to use on shoots. And when stepping out for a night on the town which is rare cause I’m such a homebody the scent of Calvin Klein or Giorgio Armani surely makes anyone want to hug me just a little bit longer lol.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling? I can’t say what I would I would be doing if I weren’t modeling because I am still doing multiple things while focusing on a modeling career. I’m very understanding of the fashion industry and how you can be in one day and out the next. God forbid I’m out tomorrow, and I don’t have anything to rely on. So, if you will allow me to rephrase the question. When and if modeling does come to an end for me, I would like to have my hand in owning property, investing in small businesses, helping develop companies and other future leaders of tomorrow. To be completely honest my looks will get me in the door, but my mind is what I will use to one day own the building. I want to be a model turned mogul.

What’s something uncool that you love anyway? Being a genuine person. Anyone who I had encountered in life whether they were intended to be temporary or long-term received genuine support from even when it wasn’t always reciprocated. I find that I don’t identify with a lot of people in my cohort because too many of them are focused on living “the life” and living for “the now” and completely disregarding the idea of karma and longevity. No disrespect to anyone because everyone’s path is different but for me, I don’t mind my journey to the top taking a bit longer because when I get there the fact that I stayed true to myself through the entire process will make me appreciate it even more.

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country? The food! I lived in Los Angeles for a brief period, and now Houston and the food doesn’t compare. If you’re leaving the club at 2 in the morning if you don’t have food at home, you’re probably going to go to bed drunk and hungry because everything is closed (LMFAO). So yes, my city has the best food and not up for debate.

Place you would love to visit: Oh wow, I would like to go on a tour of Europe, Thailand, Brazil, but my dream destination is Johannesburg, South Africa.

Which brand would you like to model? I would love to model for any brand that promotes inclusiveness and diversity.

Favorite modeling experience so far? Getting signed to an agency was a favorite moment so far for me. It just made me more optimistic about all the things to come.

Favorite season? Fall. I hate extreme temperatures so being from Chicago I have felt 100 degrees, and I have felt below zero temps. Neither one is a walk in the park lol.

Favorite junk food? I’m a doughnut type guy. Powder and the basic glaze though. No chocolate, no sprinkles, no filling.

Where do you feel the most stuck in your modeling career? I feel most stuck living in a market that is not only very small but very conservative as well. The clientele here is utterly different than that of NYC and LA but what I will do is use my experiences here to help prepare me for those larger more competitive markets. At the end of the day it all comes down to how badly do I want this you know.

Currently, you’re obsessed with or about? I am currently obsessed with protecting my energy and mental space. Post undergrad has been a very tumultuous time, and while I have faced some highs, I have also encountered several lows. So, now that I am entering a new season in life I must make sure I don’t carry anything with me mentally or emotionally. Especially anything I have not dealt with and just put to the side.
