Fashion industry professionals, tastemakers, and shoppers attend Fashion Destination Group’s Summer Soiree hosted at the luxurious St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort on June 9. Fashion Destination Group’s founder Marisa Kenson and President Marilen Coughenour honored former Chief Executive Officer of St. John, Kelly Gray with the Fashion Icon Award for leading a fashion empire and trailblazer in the midst of Orange County, California.

The event provided a 12-hour schedule that presented day and evening runway shows with fashion business panels during the afternoon. Fashion shows included brand presentations from St. John for Neiman Marcus, David Meister, Trina Turk, Marc by Marc Jacobs, BCBG, Royal Underground, Dr. Bahar Couture, Marisa Kenson and Engineered by Remy -with handbags by Gretchen Christine. Prestigious afternoon panelists included Kelly Gray, Co-Founder of Royal Underground, Frank Kaufman of Moss Adams, John Bernards, former president of WWDMAGIC, Sari Ratsula, President of Seychelles & BC Footwear and former VP of Vans, and Vicki Dallas of Buchalter Nemer.

Event sponsors included Wells Fargo, Mercedes Benz, Moss Adams. GENLUX produced a luxury evening fashion show hosted by Catt Sadler (E! News) to close the lavish event. Looks ranged from sophisticated suitings and knits to elegant ethereal gowns. Fashion Extravaganza event proceeds will benefit the organization Working Wardrobes.
